About the opportunity Hallmark Homecare of Marietta is a caregiver registry that connects independent professional caregivers with families who hire them directly. A family in Acworth is looking for a strong private caregiver for a one-on-one role supporting an adult client who is returning home from the hospital and continuing rehabilitation at home as soon as possible. The client is alert, communicates clearly, and will take an active role in selecting the caregiver. Responsibilities The caregiver will assist the client with standing, walking, and transfers between the bed, chair, and bedside commode. The role includes safely operating a Hoyer lift, helping with repositioning, and supporting the client's daily routine at home. The caregiver will also work alongside the family and any visiting therapy professionals to encourage the client's progress. Requirements Applicants must have hands-on experience with transfers and Hoyer lift operation, and must be able to safely assist a big and tall adult client. This position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds and to be on your feet for extended periods. Experience supporting clients in stroke or neurological rehabilitation is strongly preferred. Applicants must pass a thorough background check, provide three professional references, and have reliable transportation.
